W E D D I N G   F A Q

How would you describe your style?

My style is a natural and documentary approach to photography. My style is candid, light and colorful.

We have already had an engagement session. Can this be removed from the package price?

The complimentary engagement session is a gift to my couples. I love being able to capture your love story from beginning to end and being able to work with you before your wedding allows us to capture your truest form on your wedding day. Being that this is complimentary, this cannot be exchanged for value. I would highly recommend an engagement session but it is completely optional, so no pressure.

Do you include prints or albums with your wedding packages?

The exclusive package include a premium printed heirloom album and two canvas prints. All packages are given an exclusive a la carte menu to purchase any prints, wall art or albums at any given time in the booking process. You can also take a peek at the shop page here >

Do we need a second shooter?

A second shooter provides more than just alternative angles to the same moment. They act as an assistant to me, holding or readjusting the bride’s dress, gathering family members for photos, keeping a track of the timeline and so much more. A second shooter is included in all of my packages as I have found I serve my clients the best with the assistance a second shooter can provide. Leaving me with more time to focus and cater to you.

Do you shoot: Non-Religious/ Christian/ Jewish/ Nigerian / Indian/ Same-Sex/ etc weddings?

Absolutely! I love all cultures, religions and humans.

How much time is needed for our formal portraits on the wedding day?

At least 1 hour following the ceremony (cocktail hour). Some photos can be taken before the ceremony to save on time, like a first look or family formals. I typically take bride + bridesmaids portraits as well as groom + groomsmen portraits during the getting ready hours before the ceremony to save on time and allow you to get to your guests sooner after the ceremony!

Do you travel?

Absolutely! Travel is included within 50 miles of Easton, MD. Destination weddings that are over 100 miles from Easton, MD, will have a custom travel fee discussed to cover transportation and hotel accommodations. Destination locations that I have been dying to photograph a wedding at will get a special discounted destination package!

How far in advance should we book?

When your wedding date is finalized and venue is booked. Weddings can be booked up to 2 years in advance.

How are payments broken up?

The payments are split into three lump sums. 50% is due at signing as the non-refundable retainer fee that secures your date. The final payments are split into two. 25% is due six months in advance and the final 25% is due a month before.

What is the refund policy?  What if I need to reschedule/cancel?

All retainers, monies and fees paid are non-refundable. Unfortunately rescheduling your wedding may not be possible due to any previous bookings but please contact me as soon as possible.

What is the turnaround time for final images?

You can expect wedding galleries to be ready within six to eight weeks. If your package included a printed wedding album, the final package containing your USB as well as print goodies will not be sent to your home until the album is proofed, approved and ordered from the lab.

How many final images can we expect to receive? How are my final images delivered?

You can expect around 80-90 images per shooting hour. I typically say six hour wedding coverage can receive anywhere rom 400-600 photos. Eight hour coverage can receive anywhere from 600-800 and ten hour coverage can receive anywhere from 800-1000 photos. You will receive an online gallery with downloadable high resolution images as well as a keepsake USB containing your high resolution files.

Are images edited?

Absolutely! I am a firm believer in getting a photo right in camera but I do delicately adjust exposure and color in post processing. Black and white images are edited at my discretion. I do not deliver unedited images or RAW images.

What is a print release?

It gives you permission to print photos on your own. You will receive a digital copy and hard copy of a print release that allows you to print your photos at a photo lab of your choosing. Your online gallery is also linked to a professional lab where you can directly order various prints of size and material that can be shipped right to your home.

Can I post my photos to Facebook, Instagram and other social media?

Of course! I retain the copyright to all photos but please feel free share your photos with family and friends.

Do you have business insurance?

Absolutely! Let me know if your venue needs my information.

Do you have any suggestions on a makeup artist/hair stylist/DJ/caterer/baker?

Yes! I’ve worked with a large variety of vendors and have a preferred vendors list that I would be more than happy to share with you!

How long have you been shooting weddings? What makes you qualified?

I have been shooting 20-35 weddings per year since 2015. I am fully insured and come prepared with backup equipment, extra batteries, loads of memory cards and a positive attitude 🙂

What should I wear?

Choosing outfits that not only flatter your body but flatter the way you feel will make the biggest difference in your photos. If at any point you are unsure about an outfit, do not hesitate to send me a quick photo and I can provide you with some feedback. Here are some suggestions to keep in mind when making your outfit selection:

When choosing colors for your outfits, we recommend selecting softer, lighter tones and more muted shades. By avoiding ultra-bright, bold colors, it will help bring all the attention to your faces and let the eye focus on the way you feel about each other. The camera loves shades of soft pink and muted blues, mixed with sophisticated light neutrals like heather gray, creams, leather brown and white. That softer color palette fits beautifully into almost all natural outdoor environments and especially compliments the desert.

Dresses and skirts look most stunning because they really flatter every female body, especially on camera. Long, full-length, flowy dresses and skirts look amazing on camera because they bring extra movement to the photos. Consider softer fabrics like chiffon or tulle which allow for beautiful movement in the images.

Avoid wearing shirts with logos, text, or graphics.

Pairing an accessory or two with your outfit can really help bring some extra dimension to your images, and be a nice tie-in when you’re coordinating with a group. Big statement necklaces bring a lot of pop to the photos, while the smaller, delicate ones are not be as noticeable on camera. Belts, bracelets and earrings bring great visual interest, so choose one or two that don’t compete for attention.

Want your photos to look more editorial? Bring a little extra something with you! Fresh flowers bring an extra “wow” factor to just about everything, especially when they’re attached to something else, like a bicycle basket, tree swing, tent, picnic basket, balloons or car bumper. Whether you want to incorporate larger items like classic cars or bikes, or smaller ones like blankets or hats, even planning for just one extra styled item could be a fun way to make your session more unique.

Need some visual inspiration? Head on over to my senior styling PINTEREST BOARD for some examples.

How much time is needed for hair and makeup styling prior to the exclusive senior session?

We prefer to begin hair and makeup styling two hours prior to the suggested shooting time.

What would be the best location?

The location really depends on your outfit choices and how you envision your perfect senior session. I always encourage seniors to choose a location that either holds sentimental value or reflects their personality. I am especially a lover of flower fields, gardens of foliage and rustic buildings. Bringing small items that tell your story can make any location great. This includes a tall stool, old suitcases, vintage chair, a guitar, camera, etc.

Do you travel?

Absolutely! Travel is included within 50 miles of Easton, MD. A $100 travel fee will be applied for all locations outside of 50 miles from Easton, MD.

How do I book you?

Head on over to my contact page and fill out my contact form. After we have discussed your senior session and selected a package, you will receive a custom workspace online where you can pay your retainer fee and final payment via credit card after signing your contract. Your contract and questionnaires will all live within your payment workspace to access at any time.

How far in advance should we book?

Senior session dates go very quickly and I only offer a certain amount a year. Get a fast pass to the front line by booking a weekday afternoon/early evening date. Weekend dates are very limited in the spring until early fall.

When is the best or most appropriate time to schedule senior portraits?

This is entirely up to you! Some seniors prefer to do a summer or fall session which usually takes place the beginning of their senior year. The seniors that choose this route want to make sure they can use their professional creative portraits for their year book memos. However, seniors book in the winter in hopes of a unique winter shoot or even at the end of their senior year during spring blossoms.

How are payments broken up?

The payments are split into two lump sums. 50% is due at signing as the non-refundable retainer fee that secures your date. The final payment is due the day of the session which can be paid online or in person in cash.

What is the refund policy?  What if I need to reschedule/cancel?

All retainers, monies and fees paid are non-refundable. Rescheduling your senior session may be difficult during busy season. We may have to reschedule on a different day of the week than originally planned but we will try to get you in as soon as we can depending on availability.

What is the turnaround time for final images?

You can expect senior galleries to be ready within two to three weeks. If your package included graduation announcements, you will receive both your online gallery and then announcement design that will need to be approved before sending off to the lab. Once the design is approved, you will receive your graduation announcements in the mail after they are printed.

How many final images can we expect to receive? How are my final images delivered?

You can expect around 35-55 professional images depending on the package you choose. You will receive an online gallery with downloadable high resolution images where you can directly download, order prints or share for your personal use.

Are images edited?

Absolutely! I am a firm believer in getting a photo right in camera but I do delicately adjust exposure and color in post processing. I do not deliver unedited or RAW images.

What is a print release?

It gives you permission to print photos on your own. You will receive a digital copy of a print release that allows you to print your photos at a photo lab of your choosing. Your online gallery is also linked to a professional lab where you can directly order various prints of size and material that can be shipped right to your home.

Can I post my photos to Facebook, Instagram and other social media?

Of course! I retain the copyright to all photos but please feel free share your photos with family and friends.

I have seen that you offer a senior model program. How can I sign up? When do you accept applications?

I begin taking applications the beginning of a new calendar year. Typically you can expect the applications to go up on the website late February until late March. Seniors will be chosen and begin their senior model program the summer before their senior year begins.
