Caley’s senior session was a DREAM! Everything about her session filled my photographer’s heart with such joy.

Caley is one of the senior models I selected from my 2016 Senior Model Program and oh my what a great choice I made! Caley is one of the sweetest and nicest seniors. She is also incredibly smart and a proud member of the National Technical Honor Society.

When deciding to run a senior model program, I didn’t simply want to take photos of beautiful young souls; I wanted to make an impact on their lives. The transition from high school to college is the biggest of them all! I wanted to start a program that would allow seniors in high school to remember this precious time in their lives while also having the support of someone who has already been through it.

I personally never got untraditional senior portraits done and oh how I regretted it! I have paired up with a local licensed cosmologist, Emily Hurlock, who primp and pampers my seniors to make them have the most wonderful senior session experience.

We began Caley’s day by meeting at Emily’s where she would begin on her makeup and hair styling. We spent the time giggling and talking about life to soon head off to Claiborne where we would begin shooting. The sun was glaring and we were dripping sweat in the middle of July but OH how perfect this day was. We grabbed some shots of Caley by the dock and then headed off to the cliff where she switched into another outfit. After we grabbed some dramatic images on the rocks, we headed off to the sunflower field. In perfect timing; golden hour was just about to begin!

We got to the sunflower field at just the right moment where the sun was warming our images up perfectly and adding the prettiest little glare. Caley’s choice of a black sundress mixed in with the sunflowers added just enough contrast without taking away from the beauty before us. I am so excited to see where senior year takes Caley!
